Sales Engineer

We are seeking a technically skilled and customer-focused Sales Engineer to join our team in Mexico City. This role will serve as the primary technical contact in the region, working closely with the global headquarters' Operations team. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for managing technical issues, training regional partners, and supporting strategic initiatives. This position requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams including sales, customer support, and product development.

Your day-to-day:

1) Technical Leadership and Support

  • Act as the main technical reference for customers and internal teams in Mexico and surrounding regions.

  • Discuss Webfleet equipment requirements and system integration with current and potential clients, as well as other engineers.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, escalating to HQ when necessary.

  • Oversee and facilitate customer cases that are escalated to different divisions within the organization.

  • Faciliate the certification process for newly launched products or for new countries.

2) Training and Knowledge Sharing

  • Serve as the training responsible in the region, ensuring partners, customers and sales teams are well-informed on technical products and solutions.

  • Liaise with other Sales Engineers globally to share best practices and technical insights.

3) Partner Development and Integration

  • Identify and onboard new installation partners while maintaining relationships with existing ones.

  • Develop new integration or software partners that add value for new clients.

  • Support the setup and integration of new partners to ensure seamless collaboration.

4) Strategic Projects & Product Testing

  • Lead market-specific strategic initiatives to drive growth and operational excellence.

  • Manage pilot product tests within the region and coordinate with central product and value stream teams.

  • Manage POCs with clients, ensuring expected outcomes.

  • Support the sales team in defining products and services to be contracted.

5) Cross -functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with regional sales, customer support, and operations teams to ensure technical alignment and customer satisfaction.

  • Assist the Customer Support teams in LATAM in implementing new products or technologies.

  • Maintain regular communication with central product teams and value stream teams as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

  • 3+ years of experience in a technical sales or sales engineering role

  • Strong understanding of relevant technologies/products

  • Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English

  • Ability to work independently while staying connected with global teams

  • Experience working in a multicultural and cross-functional environment
