Life at WFS

We Thrive at Webfleet

The wellbeing and health of our employees is critical to us. For this reason, we developed the We Thrive programme to give our people opportunities to improve their social, physical and mental health.

Social connectivity

We think it’s important to create an open, honest and trusted community. We use Yammer to encourage people to share their thoughts and ideas around how to thrive in the workplace and at home, and chat with other like-minded colleagues across locations to find things in common and build a support network.

In addition, we have partnered with Workplace Options to help our employees achieve their emotional, practical and physical wellbeing.

Finally, we believe that getting together around a common topic via webinars or events also helps to create connections with others. That’s why we are always looking to host activities, whether it’s a summer party, a quiz or a webinar supporting parents to juggle home and work life, we believe that getting together to talk about it is a good thing.

Employee Assistance Programme

Physical health

The mind and body are irrefutably connected, and you must look after both to thrive. So, whether you're looking to stay active or simply adjust your desk for a more comfortable workstation, we've got something for you.

For those looking to lead a healthier lifestyle, we are lucky to be to take advantage employee health programme from Bridgestone, which is inspired by its partnership of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Find out more about it here.

We’ve also created toolkits and guides to help employees set up their desks ergonomically, take-up desk yoga and much more to help improve their health at work.

Mental health

Open conversations about mental health are never off the table. If employees are starting to feel overwhelmed, we encourage them to acknowledge their feelings and speak to someone, whether it's a manager, HR or a trusted colleague - we're listening, and we care.

We offer twice weekly 20-minutes meditation sessions for those needing to refocus their mind and step away for a short time.

We also understand that some employees prefer to seek externally advice and support. That’s why we have partnership with Workplace Options, to offer free services for those needing assistance with work related stress, personal tragedies, and other difficult topics. It offers counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and critical incident response services to employees and their family members 24/7.

Finally, together with Bridgestone and The Resilience Institute, we host quarterly webinars in a variety of topics related to wellbeing and mental health.
