Talent Day with Codam students

On March 2023, we organised a talent open-day in our Amsterdam office, where we invited a group of students from Codam college, a coding academy located in Amsterdam.

As part of this recruiting activity, the Codam students had the opportunity to visit our headquarters by doing an office tour, learn more about our company and product portfolio, and get an insider view of our teams by directly talking to some of them and seeing their daily work in a "day in the life" of some software development colleagues.

The group was really engaged and very curious about our products and technology. By organising open-day events like this one, we are able to attract the right talent that best fits our culture and teams.

Welcome to the office

The students gathered in our headquarters reception in the morning, grabbing a quick snack and a coffee while some of our team members gave them a warm welcome.

Office tour and Product portfolio showcase

We started the day by taking a tour around the office and we explained to them several curiosities about our headquarters site. During the session, we introduced our wide range of products and technology, and we were happy to see they had many questions and were interested in our tech! 💻

Meeting our Engineering teams

After the tour, they headed to the Incubator area to learn more about our engineering teams and software development, tools and processes in a session with a group of Software Engineering teammates, who delivered great Back-end and Front-end presentations to the students to grasp an idea about how our technology works.

Learning more about our Benefits and Recruitment

Following a yummy lunch break, the students got to know about the Benefits we offer at Webfleet and what it's like to work with us in two sessions delivered by a couple of our HR colleagues. They also learned all about the Recruiting process, best practices when applying and tips and tricks on how to build their CV.

After all these exciting sessions and learning, we wrapped up the day with a quick note from our Director of People and said goodbye to the group of students giving them some of our best-branded goodies.
