Embedded Software Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join our engineering team in Warsaw who will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining embedded software solutions for telematics devices that run in millions of customer vehicles worldwide, therefore reliability is the key. You will work closely with different teams including hardware engineers, backend engineers, and product managers to deliver robust and efficient embedded systems.
 

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in C/C++ programming, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and embedded system architecture. You should be confident working with low-level hardware interfaces, troubleshooting complex issues, and optimizing performance in resource-constrained environments. You will be part of an agile team that continuously adds new features to our devices while maintaining a strong focus on code quality through daily code reviews and mandatory unit testing.

Here’s a little taste of your challenge:

  • Strong proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems development (we use C++ version 11)

  • You have at least 2-3 years of experience as an embedded developer

  • Solid understanding of embedded system architecture, microcontrollers, and low-level hardware interfaces.

  • Good knowledge of Python for scripting, automation, and testing purposes.

  • Experience in writing and maintaining unit tests

  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

  • Understanding of communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, etc.

  • Experience with debugging tools (e.g., JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).

  • Soldering THT and SMD components

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering new features quickly and efficiently

  • Sharing knowledge within and across teams

  • Writing high-quality, maintainable code

  • Designing scalable, efficient, and secure software architecture solutions

  • Reviewing code to ensure compliance with standards and best practices

  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams

  • Good communication skills in English and Polish (spoken and written).

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, QA, product).
