EV Lounge in our headquarters

EV Lounge is an itinerary event built to raise awareness of our value proposition for electric vehicles, targeting our internal and external audiences.

We recently hosted in our headquarters in Amsterdam the first internal session of the EV Lounge, a face-to-face event open for all of the teams and colleagues based in the Amsterdam office.

But, what is the EV Lounge?

The EV Lounge is an itinerary event built to raise awareness of our value proposition for electric vehicles, targeting our internal and external audiences. The event was hosted for the first time at the Mobility Talks in Eindhoven, in October 2022, aimed at customers and prospects attending the show.

However, this time it was the first session offered towards our internal audience. We want these sessions to be a channel to trigger conversations around the electric mobility world and a place to share market insights, product updates and customer feedback.

The goal

All about demystifying electric vehicles and making our teams more comfortable to “talk EV” with customers and prospects.

The agenda

We had EV presentations sharing market, product and customer information followed by a roleplay game – the EV Sales Championship.

  • Driving EVs with data: Franck Leveque, VP Strategy & Incubation, shared the challenges of fleet managers to go electric and how important is data to support their transition.
  • BMS EV value proposition: Taco Olthoff, EV Program Director, presented the EV roadmap with all future releases and the value we bring to customers in each step of the electrification journey.
  • Electrification checklist: Pedro Souza, EV Product Marketing, presented a four-stepped approach our teams can guide fleet managers to take when deciding to go electric. Also shared two EV customer success stories.

For the first time, we also organized the EV Sales Championship. A roleplay game where participants got into the skin of a sales agent trying to understand customer challenges, which were all about trying to reduce their carbon footprint.

Three teams joined the competition where they were evaluated, accumulating points based on their performance. For one hour, they had to prepare and sit in a meeting with a hypothetical customer to answer typical EV questions and collect invaluable information to leverage our EV value proposition.

A prize of an EV experience was at stake for the first EV Sales Championship winner!

Taco van der Leij, VP FMS Europe, joined us for the closure and reinforced the message on how important it is for Bridgestone Mobility Solutions as a whole to keep our focus in EVs.

Next event?

The event ended with a very positive and constructive feedback from participants. The approved concept is now to be taken into the next step and replicated in other Bridgestone Mobility Solutions offices.
