Ask me anything with Jan-Maarten de Vries
Ask me anything is an internal event series where we interview our board members live, taking questions from employees.
In the very first session of the "Ask me anything" series, Jan-Maarten de Vries, CEO of Bridgestone Mobility Solutions, told the audience how he spent the Easter long weekend: surrounded by his family and enjoying the warm weather (while it lasted)!
How a usual day looks like for Jan-Maarten? He starts the day at around 7 am, has a short breakfast and heads to the workplace, now working 4 days in the office and 1 day from home. In the evening, he goes back home and spends some time with his family and has dinner together, although he often needs to catch up on some work duties before the day finishes.
He explained the whole process of taking over the role of CEO, and how he felt at that time going through the applications process, when he had joined the company as the VP of Data Solutions. Jan-Maarten also told us about his early career in consultancy before moving to business.

- He likes to play and watch sports like tennis and football

- He loves watching Netflix in his (little) free time, and enjoying a beer or going to a good restaurant with his closest friends
- His family has a furry member - a pet cat :)
